Electrospinning’s Product Manager Keynotes Global Textile Conference

Katrina Moisley, Caladrix® Platform Manager, was invited to deliver a keynote presentation at the inaugural International Textile and Colour Conference (ITCC), held at Nexus on the University of Leeds campus from 25-26 June 2025.

Katrina’s keynote focused on the use of electrospun textiles in cardiovascular medical devices, with particular emphasis on innovation in medical coatings and coverings. Her presentation highlighted The Electrospinning Company’s advancements in medical textile engineering—featuring its pioneering Caladrix® Coverings Technology. The keynote exemplified how electrospun nanofibre coatings can transform next-generation implants and devices, bridging the gap between research and clinical impact.

Hosted by Professor Stephen Russell and the organising team, ITCC 2025 served as a global platform for cross-sector collaboration, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and academic experts from the UK and abroad to explore advances in textiles, colour, and sustainable manufacturing. The conference fostered open dialogue across disciplines including environmental science, design, business, economics, and technology

“University of Leeds is where I started electrospinning, so I was truly honoured to have been invited back to give a keynote talk on the technology at the inaugural ITCC conference. It was incredible to see academia and industry coming together in such a collaborative environment.”
